I live in the friendly, historical city of Bielefeld. Its location is near the Teuteburger Woods in Nordrhine Westfahlen. With its 325,000 inhabitants it is the largest city in Eastwestfahlen and part of the historical trade and military road from the Rhine to the Elbe. Bielefeld (Biliuelde) was founded in 1214 by Ravensberger Earl Hermann IV to secure the land and at the same time to become a trade city. The purpose of this city was to enhance the financial and domestic economy to Earl Hermann IV. Many Trades man came to enjoy the freedom that was offered and therefor the city developed in the 13th century.
The building of the castle/fortress of Sparrenburg began in 1240. It was the center for management, military, home to Earl Hermann IV and followers. At the same time it secured the pass of the Teuteburger Woods and safety to the newly founded city of Bielefeld. Bielefeld became part of the Hansa cities in the 15th century. In the 17th century the city is also known for its development of fine Linens, spinning and weaving that where exported to many European countries, sewing machines, and bicycle.
Bielefeld was almost totally destroyed in WW2. It is again an industry city with some historical buildings and a well known University for Agriculture.

My hobbies are soccer, football and travel, surfing in the Internet. Video-and voice chats. I am a huge fan of the San Francisco 49er's. My favorite travels are to the Canary Islands, especially Fuerteventura and of course the sunny California USA, where my Treasure lives.
